Minions: The Rise of Gru is a spirit lifting and soul inspiring movie of the epic tales of a small boy and his yellow hench men. No movie has ever made me question my life goals and aspirations as much as this movie in fact many should probably compare it to John Krakauer’s Into the Wild with its complex characters and questioning of “society”. The way that the main character (Gru) was treated by the Vicious 6 is a clear comment on “society” and the patriarchy that this world has been built on. One where you need to be older to be taken seriously but Minions: The Rise of Gru proves time and time again that young people (and minions) can change the world. As far as character building goes this movie does an astonishing job of creating interesting characters with flawless character arcs. If you can take away one thing from Minions: The Rise or Gru it’s that you should always question authority.

Cinema peaked with this film. I have never and will never see another film quiet this good. Batman has never been so entertaining, and so true to the original character created long ago. The voice acting in this film was sensational and every actor should have won an Oscar. If I could only watch one film for the rest of my life it would have to be this one.
