Honestly, after the first episode, the only reason I kept watching was because of Henry Cavill. Then that dumb bard came and ruined it some more. That bard was far too modern and just so annoying. I understand it’s based on the books then the game, but even my boyfriend who loves the game isn’t impressed. They have to force people to follow Geralt around and keep talking. We know that if people just followed Geralt normally, it’d be quiet and that’d be no good for a show. But honestly, after how crappy the lines are, we prefer the silence. I understand it’s catered to a certain group of people, but like, add some context for the rest of us who aren’t too familiar with all of it but want to watch it. Unfortunately, not all of us have a knack for video games nor do we have all the time to read the books. Edit: Found out the bard is based off of Dandelion from the game. My opinion of him hasn’t changed. I’m waiting for the new season now because I love Henry Cavill. I still think Cavill is singularly carrying this show on his shoulders. I still can’t forgive their wardrobe people for making him wear pants that look like leather pants during some fights though lol. And some scenes just have really bad effects or backgrounds, but oh well.
