Easily my second favorite in the whole series (beaten only by Tropical Freeze) and there are 3 main reasons for that 1. The Music is a slight step up in my mind, Funky Kongs theme, Forest Interlude, Krooks March etc 2. Dixie Kong is easily the best character in these games and this introduced her 3. The Setting. Let me explain in the first game your on DKs home turf… pretty standard, but in this game he’s been captured and you have to go onto enemy turf to help save him, hell I prefer the level design and world design in this game sooo much more. My only negatives are the graphics and the fact that some of the necessary levels are really hard Lastly F%#! Squitter he is so hard to control I swear to god

Literally would smash the $h1t outta palutena, beyond that great game

Love everything, most played game of all time I just have two problems. 1. Should have been more run and guns, without them it feels a little bare when it’s boss fight after boss fight 2. Grim Matchstick made me break my TV (more of a me problem I know 🤣) (I slightly prefer Hollow Knight and I have a review on that as well. Two very well crafted indie games, I’d recommend both)

I grew up with this game, and though my recently playthrough has shown the cracks in its design, it was part of my childhood and I’ll still remember the first time I played the game. All in all a flawed game for sure, with many problems but I don’t care enough and can still safely say I love this game!
