Loud, boisterous and utterly boring. No character development of anybody, underused Joaquin Phoenix whose face has only one expression throughout: miserable! “Young” Napoleon (24!) looks like he’s just filled in his OAP form. Fragmented storyline that does neither develop Napoleon’s motives nor history or politics of the time. Waste of superb special effects and heroic cinematography.
