This is much more realistic than the 1980's version. The way it was filmed previously was showing the people that went to Japan from Europe as somehow superior to the Japanese despite Japan's rich history. That said, I did enjoy the original for the time but it was 40 years ago!! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
