Feels very scam-like when you sign up to a on-off challenge, unaware/overlooking signing up to a 3 month subscription and auto-billed 4 months later with no notification that this will be occurring. If you stood by your product you would give advance notification of the recurring payment, letting the user decide. Your Q&A around 'can I get a refund if I cancelled too late?' is testament to this.
