An excellent therapeutic book written for the public by the highly esteemed developer of Schema Therapy, Jeffrey Young and his colleague, Janet Klosko. I recommend it to my psychology/psychotherapy clients when we use Schema Therapy as one of a number of helpful modalities for profound change. The development of schemas (or 'lifetraps' - subconscious feeling-beliefs) is explained well, and methods of recognising, understanding the possibly origins of, and ways to start working through them is explored. Very helpful to use alone, or in conjunction with a therapist. There are a few 'newer' Schemas not covered in this book, and a Schema Therapist can assess and work with these as well.
Highly recommended. Eye-opening and healing.
