i've seen a lot of different opinions of this anime. For me, i'd say its not THAT bad, but it does disappoint in ways. The first season was fast paced, some people like it some don't. I was expecting it to be an action anime with cool fight scenes, but it was obvious that after a while(like the third episode) it was a harem anime of sorts. Every girl liked our main character, Kirito. If you like action anime, i wouldn't recommend it. I guess for someone who isn't watching it seriously its fine, but if you're a serious fan of action anime, you won't like it. Now I, myself, am an action anime fan and didn't HATE it so i guess there could be exceptions. The second season in my opinion was way better than the first, but again it's a personal preference. The first 13 episodes of season 2 were good, but it went downhill from there. The third season, Alicization, was in simple words, trash. I feel sorry to say this but for me third season on, the story took a weird turn. Some people do like it but it wasn't satisfactory. Frankly there are better anime to watch. So unless you have a lot of time to waste i wouldn't recommend it.
