Phenominal! Brilliant! Clever! Absorbing! Great story line. Accurate historic content. Great Direction and equally great acting. When the lead is played by Shakespearean actor, John Simm, (as Sam Tyler), you can be sure of a great performance. With Philip Glenister, (playing Detective Chief Inspector Gene Hunt, what a perfect combo! Both actors superbly suit the parts. All said, this really is a fabulous, cult, British tv series, depicting Manchester, in 1973. I can’t praise it enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very heartfelt film, with beautiful acting from Johnny Depp, as usual. Great to see him in a straight role, (not fantasy or musical. Very good supporting actor. Very sensitively written. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Food for thought.
