It is a GOOD MOVIE.
It's very saddening that people tolerate all sort of illogical being made out there, without the need of any logic or explanation. When bahubali flies and kills 30 people at a time, no logic needed. When Rocky Bhai is dodging bullets without moving from an ambush site, no logic no explanation needed. I'm not against those movies, they are very entertaining indeed in their own ways. But when the media and the netizens are hell bent on criticizing a good movie, they'll find all the possible reasons, loopholes and bad mouth it.
Laal Singh Chaddha, is a well made movie, with a good story line and fine to nice acting showcased by almost everyone in the movie.
The plot is a plain simple plot, not much twists and turns as such because it's a feel good, make you feel good movie. All the events showcased in the movie, from the riots to the serial blasts, kargil war and all other other events, they are shot very nicely and they fit in. They have shown many a things that the last two generations might not have known about. The songs are amazing, you'd want to listen to them again.
About acting, Amir Sir did his part well, maybe a different look would have made it better. People might compare the look a lot to his PK look. His part is challenging as Laal is a bit slower, mentally, takes time to understand things. He has played his part really well, looked very innocent at all times. Some dialogues and scenes might make you cry.
Kareena Mam, Mona Mam have done justice to their roles. Mona Singh has played the more challenging role since she's grown old in the movie, scene by scene and still played her part well.
Screenplay could be a little bit shorter maybe. Wrapping up in two hours and fifteen minutes would possibly have worked in their favor.
It's my humble request to all the fans, media and viewers:
Please leave political agendas aside while you are watching a film. If an actor has issued any wrong statement in any timelines, keep it separate from the movie reviews. Do not, please do not mix reviews and other agendas. We need genuine reviews. That is the only way we can sustain and support good movies.
This is me giving a review of Laal Singh Chaddha, after watching and loving Forrest Gump.
Who said original and adaptation both can't be good?
