Initial thoughts...cringy and harmful. Despite the fact that the story is boring and the actor (middle aged woman?) playing Chad is completely unbelievable as a 14 year old boy, my issue is that this smacks of transphobia. I have no problem with lame tv shows, bad scripts, poor acting etc, as I can choose to watch or not watch, but this seems to have the potential to cause harm to a very vulnerable, marginalized population.
