i don’t usually write reviews but for this movie i had to. dylan o’brien is probably my favorite actor and i love everything he’s in (maze runner, teen wolf, american assassin) and this movie was honestly insulting to him. overall, dylan did a great job acting in this movie. the reason i don’t like it is because of the writing and just the overall plot. i love sci fi/post apocalyptic movies but this one was just illogical and rushed. it didn’t make sense how joel lived in a bunker for 7 years and then randomly just decided to leave after his radio call got cut off. like?? and he had no experience whatsoever to survive yet he just left his bunker like he wasn’t about to go on an 85 mile hike. also, that conflict at the end with Cap was so random and just didn’t fit into the plot. and the script was just bad and all the jokes were painfully unfunny. i just felt like everything was rushed and lots of things just didn’t make sense. overall dylan o’brien is an amazing actor and i hate that he was cast in a movie that had horrible writing
