It took me a couple of episodes to get into it but then I got sucked in. Louisa is such a good actress (well, there's her mother, of course). All of them are really good actors. There's never a moment of untruth. I was educated with a couple of later generations of these people. I vividly remember how ordinary people were treated and how they treated each other Since I was virtually ignored for four years I had the opportunity to observe their behavior. It DID take generations for the strict norms to fade a bit. I was not among their wealthy set which allowed me to enjoy my rebellion. What doesn't really come through is that one could hardly breathe in that set. I hope some of the most bitter and nasty get their comeuppance. Now there are so many loose ends that I can't wait for another season. I do hope there will be. But it's frustrating to have to wait so long, like we've had to wait for other such "specials". I'm an old lady. I can't wait six months for the next installments :)
