Juvane Doussaitis

Decent book, although the steam of this series really dies at the end of this book. I will not spoil it for you but I absolutely hate the ending of this book. Unfortunately, she really ruins the plot and contradicts everything she wrote. I loved this series until I read the last few chapters of this book. She is very talented and her books are a joy to read through. The second book spends nearly 80% of it at sea, on a boat, traveling? Really bogged down the experience but I over looked it and forgave her for it. I wish I could over look what she performed here. But I can't, I will always remember Lawrence and Tiramire tho. And for that I thank her with all my heart!

Great book, a good introduction to the re imagined history of the world. The human characters are warm and interesting, with real charm. The dragons are characters of their own, having different personalities and quirks. Lawrence is very memorable and he truly grows on you, while also being the humility of some situations. Temeraire is one of my favorite dragons of all time. This book definitely starts this series off with a bang and I definitely recommend it!
