Scotch Mist

This series is fantastic! The only negative is why did the writers try so hard to hide from the audience that the new law-man in series two was going to be Pat Garrett. I mean it really is not a mystery since it is a historical fact. It would like trying to make a mystery surprise ending in the film ‘Titanic’ that the ship sank. Anyway, that bit felt rather pointless to me, but other than that really loving the series and hoping for the third season.

Hope this show gets picked up again. It's a pretty decent sci-fi series, but it was unfortunately cancelled so the story is left unfinished. 😕 So many members of the cast are look-alikes for other actors which is the kind of a little odd. The actress that plays the Mum reminds me of Emily VanCamp. The actor that plays the Dad reminds me of Don Johnson. 😆 The guy that plays Broussard reminds me of Denzel Washington, and actress that plays Jennifer McMahon reminds me of Claire Danes. The series should have been called 'Doppelgangers'.

The new 2022 version of Persuasion is awful. Jane Austen is a subtle storyteller and they've taken every ounce of subtlety out of the story. Anne's internal dialogue communicated to the viewers by breaking the fourth wall throughout the film was extremely patronising. I felt talked down to and very frustrated with the storyline and the characters that were changed too much and not for the better.

Was expecting so much more. Decent action sequences I'll give it that but the moment they failed to email copies of the files, once decrypted to relevant media/authorities (which would have cancelled the bounty on their heads and exposed the corruption) I was disappointed. Also Chris Evans pronouncing the word 'Tamil'. It's two syllables.... Tam- mill. Evan says Tah-meaal. No vocal coach budget for that apparently...

Leads relationship was very rushed and also very forced. The female leads acting was so over the top that I found it difficult to emphasise with her character at all. It's a thumbs down from me.
