The rating for the show is a 3 but I’m giving it a one because of that Yanli character. I just started watching Asian shows about a year ago. And let me tell you I have watched a lot. And I am a big fan. I have heard the raves about the untamed. I’m currently in episode 26 whilst writing this review. I wanted to complete the series before I did this review but I just had to vent. It’s honestly not the best series out there contrary to popular claims but it’s not that bad either. Word of honor is 100% better. Still can’t get over Wen Kexing. I have watched a lot of series and I mean a lot. So I watched a lot of different types of characters but I will tell you this none is worse than this yanli character. She is the most stupid, dumb and useless character I have ever had the misfortune of watching. And I am beyond baffled that during filming the lady that acted the character and none of the other actors protested in saying there is no way this type of moronic idiotic person exist whether in fantasy or real life. There is no way at all that all a character does is mope around, cry and make soup. She literally can’t make coherent statements. And i have wanted to stop watching just because of her. But I decided to fast forward all the scenes she’s in. That’s the only way I can honestly finish this series.
