Such high reviews with masterful imagery, good lead actors and such an interesting premise, but it fell flat like a flaccid soufflé when It could have been riveting if the script was better developed and the characters more fleshed out. Moments of diabolical gore produced a meh laugh, but the awkwardness of the plot and odd behaviours of the guests made this a bit hard to swallow. I went in ravenous and ready to gorge but the takeaway that hit the spot was a gourmet burger on the way home and THAT fed my cerebral appetite with something real & satisfying. Pity! What should have been a dark indulgence is a disappointing dog’s breakfast. Take it off The Menu til it hits your fave streaming platform!
