A good production which is true to the book, and which unfortunately has been quite unfairly reviewed here in the UK. The characters are well cast, with Chase Andrews character in particular perfectly moulded to fit all of the nuances portrayed in the book, and the main parts of the storyline are well covered even if they had to cut a few parts out to fit the entire story in one film. At some points near the start of the film the relationship between Kya and Tate is a bit cheesy, and perhaps Kya's wardrobe is a bit too trendy and well ironed, but these are minor gripes. On the whole I think it's a moving piece of cinema.
