Making movies just as a vehicle for actors is not an old thing and has honestly worked pretty well in the past but we seem to be hitting the lowest bars yet with a clear pandering to demo-graph and assumption that kids are thick and easily pleased. This film was absolute trash. Throw it in with the Borderlands movie and pray the film industry pulls its head out of its rear and get decent writers in. Also, Dwayne ‘the boring’ Johnson needs to step aside and let real actors do their job.

I love old creepy haunted house stories but this was just so boring, poorly written and confused with CGI that I had to really muscle through it. I have a family of 6 ranging 9-19 years old. Even they complained about the ‘dumb things’ these awful characters said. They’ve cocked up a haunted house story which is a huge shame. This made me actually miss the Eddie Murphy version 🤦🏻‍♂️
