As always, an amazing game in the series, with wonderful writing, a deep story, and emotionally complex characters. The low-star reviews are from people who expected their fanfic headcanons to come to life in the game, that's all really. It's a really solid game with a lot of love put into it, and Max Caulfield's character is conveyed wonderfully by the new team.
That being said, it was obvious that they were on some kind of time crunch or unrealistic deadline, as the game did feel rushed, especially towards the end. The last couple of chapters were shorter, and a few bugs were present in the game--and the pacing felt a bit off. I really hope the team gets the time they deserve to work on the next game and really make it shine, because I know they're capable of it.
