This book is amazing! It provided a sophisticated and accessible analysis of the production, circulation, and consumption of queer narratives-- by Korean women. While we learn much about Korean history, culture, and media, this book is also generalizable to the broader study of fans, gender, and the potential of production in today's digital ecology. I highly recommend.

I use this book in every Media Studies class I teach, as a required text. It provides background on most of the major keywords in a condensed and accessible manner. It is an invaluable resource.
