it was free a week ago or so on pc so i decided to pick it up. and this review is more about ubisoft then the actual game because i couldn't even find myself to begin to want to play it. it has become a very annoying trend when you first start up a new game and the developers want to give you a nice cinematic backstory to understand whats going on. and thats all fine and dandy, but immediately i could tell my restitution was at 720, not 1440. so why developers make the opening cinematic to be not skip able or even to just pause it to mess with the settings is beyond me and super annoying. so after 20 minutes i am finally in control of a character. however at 720 it says im getting 30 fps. i have a 2080 and i9 so that should not happen. either way i bump all the setting to max and i was getting 10 fps?? ok so restart the game and........ cinematic all over again. as big as ubisoft it its not hard to make this things go over smoothly as it took about 10 minutes to "reconnect my account" and then every graphic setting i set was erased. if you have the option just play on console, because ubisoft doesn't care about pc gamers and its objectively easier to just load a game and get right to playing instead of trying to even get it to run on a higher end pc. so i can't even review gameplay because if this is how annoying it is to even start playing, who knows what its like when your 10-20 hours into it.
