Not a compelling story about the actress/singer as we all know her weaknesses, mistreatment as a teenager, failed marriages, absentee mother guilt and subsequent alcoholism, pill popping sad life. Nothing new here. Rene Zellweger’s performance is the only thing that seems worthy of attention. Otherwise, it’s slow moving and depressing.

Wanted to watch mostly to just compare the parallels with covid 19 Corona virus pandemic and was quickly pulled into a much more complex film. It was hauntingly familiar with today’s grocery hoarding, disturbing behavior and media coverage that even includes an interview with Dr. Sanjay Gupta. It provides a realistic view of origin tracing, tracking and ultimately prevention. Not my definition of entertainment and don’t think it was meant to be. Definitely worth viewing.
