The Night Agent is a by-the-numbers political thriller that mistakes clichรฉs for intrigue and flat performances for tension. Gabriel Basso delivers his lines with all the enthusiasm of a man reading tax forms, while the script forces every twist so predictably you can set your watch to them. Action sequences lack energy, dialogue is painfully expository, and the villains are straight out of a bargain-bin spy novel. Itโs the kind of show that thinks itโs clever but is actually just dull. A thriller with no thrills, The Night Agent is best left unwatched.
