This show is profoundly disappointing! I find myself disagreeing with his rulings an astonishing 98% of the time. When I used to watch the show with my patients, I typically ended up turning the TV off. I would rather watch paint dry than endure his foolishness. I don’t even enjoy watching his commercials. It’s difficult to take this show seriously when so many decisions seem misguided and driven by personal bias. Mathis often fails to give people a fair chance to explain themselves, making serious mistakes by attempting to manipulate their words or mislead them. This leads him to accuse litigants of perjury and unjustly dismiss their cases. I also urge the Black men to avoid his courtroom; fairness can be found in shows like Judge Judy, where respect and equity prevail.
