I share George Galamba's feeling (below) about the music playing throughout the American Experience films. I used to tremendously enjoy these documentaries; I don't recall music played in earlier episodes. I found it unbearable and totally unnecessary, especially for a person like me, with a moderate hearing loss. I also feel the music takes away from the fascinating stories being told. Whos bright idea was it to set these documentaries to music? We have enough noise on TV! PBS used to be a respite.
