It is hard for an American to understand the incredible ignorance of the villagers in this film. Taking the side of the rapists, saying there was a "stain" on the child victim, and threatening to harm or even kill the father and perhaps the whole family. I only wish they could have prosecuted the people who threatened them. I wish I could have been there to protect them and teach a lesson to the threateners.
