A good show, I'm addicted after watching Dragon Rising. Still on season 7 of this but gosh, do I find Jay irritating! Kai was kinda jerk earlier, but Jay has taken over. Wonder what Nya sees in him! Cole is a better person. Anyways, Master Wu, the ninjas and the additional characters are engaging and each season has a lead villain, around whom the entire season is built, with revelations throughout and some predictable developments, but the stories are well paced, and proceed quickly. The Ninjas are clumsy, goofy, silly, sometimes petty, and often downright stupid. And it bugs that they don't plan, jump in recklessly, and often do the dumbest things, and don't learn from their mistakes. The feminine is under-represented and so far, I haven't seen non-binaries, but the diversity of character and nature and background of the ninjas is a good enough beginning to reflect that diversity is good. There are some good dialogues that can be messages if the watcher so wants to register, that are motivational. Humor is peppered throughout, and the world building is okay, though I found Dragon Rising more engaging and attractive. A good watch for kids who can follow the developments and reflect on the messages, given the fast pace. For children, I'd recommend not binge watching and taking it slower.

Just felt so real, believable, and for a change it didn't have darker tones, so that hekped But while the story is to be complimented, the quality of the breath of life breathed into each character was interesting. It was a good watch, one that, whatever your circumstances, leaves you with hope, without too many rose tinted spectacles.

Despite the world creators confusion of how many popular worlds to reference to tap into fans - Dune, fast and furious, mahabharata, star wars, the game of thrones world tree.... Despite the world strangely having one child who used English idioms and phrases, and Prabhas following up on it in a one liner.... Despite the complete lack of consistency in world design and theatrics.. The movie was surprisingly entertaining and nice, leaving me looking forward to the sequel. What I do hope from the sequel is more Deepeika time, more female energy, And more consistency in design... The weapons from star wars, the Old world but waknda-ish warrior rebels , the weak vfx where the evil army was clearly fake. Uh, so much could be better, and yet..... The story weaving, the histriinics, and above all, Amitabh held the movie together. I'm no fan, but the man delivered. Wish I'd had the foresight to keep some popcorn with me.

Boy, was sure impressed with Jennifer, and the visual effects and production value were good. This was entirely a movie between JLo, Simu and the voice, Smith. I like the world they created, some of the tech was dubious, but the surprise element in the backstory explained a lot of things. Some sourpuss fathead here apparently wants a refund. Must have had a bad cuppa Joe. I liked the movie. The best line, for me: it's not that I don't trust AI, I don't trust anybody; everybody disappoints.

When season 2 came out, I watched season 1 all over again. Then followed it up with season 2 couple of days later. It lived up to my expectations and then some. A good watch. Shows the gods as flawed and unwilling to let their biases, greed, lust and ego go. It does gloss over some lurid aspects such as Hades being Persephone's uncle (her being Zeus's child when he raped Demeter, his sister), Zeus and Hera being siblings before Zeus seduced Hera and shamed her into marrying him, etc etc....... But if you're selling anime, you do want to keep those unpalatable aspects away. The protagonists get stabbed, blasted, guilted, burdened, beat up as happens for those of us better at work but refusing to suck up. I love the hidden realm piece and the version of Gaia here. Looking forward to season 3. I still think Hestia, Athena, Persephone's daughter (by Zeus pretending to be Hades - ouch, isnt he her dad), Artemis, Apollo, Haephaestus, Hecate, need their own stories and not be relegated to part players. Hope spin offs happen with the same writers and quality of production.

A show about a self destructive narcissist vile man who can't be happy, doesn't expect happiness to last, and self sabotages, and destroys other people's happiness too. Also a show of silly but good people who enable such a person. Everyone in the show needs therapy. And House needs to be institutionalised. Cuddy plays favorites and that's where she fails as an administrator. Each one of us wishes we had a Wilson, as a friend and a doctor, albeit with better decisions. High plays his role well, but the character arc swings downward repeatedly. Motor mouth, who gets off on hurting people, embarrassing them, thinks nothing of B&E, hurls slurs, has no empathy, invades privacy, ugh, the dredge! To all people affected with any mental health issues - better skip the show.

Tbh, one extra star is for the nostalgia of Archie's and for the production value (eye for detail) and the amazing costumes, lyrics, songs, sets, not just of the main characters but others and even extras. Now Betty isn't blind but it's a very promising debut of Khushi, who holds against a much tame Veronica (Suhana), who puts her all into it, but pales when Khushi is around. Ethel is good but whatever happened to tall Ethel, or did Zoya and I read different versions? And Dilton? One invention only? The boy was a genius! The scene where kindhearted Reggie (????) has a moment with Dilton (not that kind of moment, sillies) is touching, so well done and then it disappears, written and done with - sure it was 1960s, but whatever happened to Dilton? and where is Juggie's crown shaped beanie, red polo sweater and black pants?, or Archie's banged up jalopy? All sacrificed to be the launch vehicle, to add another song. Agustya reminds one of Abhishek and Sweta too, and yet as his own person. A lot of talent, a good launch to get their feet wet, just wish.... The gaps were filled.

A movie that becomes a gem because of the brilliant weaving of the story, the honest scenery, the statement on women's lives, and the shine in something that's already exceptional is the exceptional talent. Each of them weaves us into their story, their journey is as much about the women around us and in our families, and how it shapes them. Identities reclaimed. What got to me was the line in the movie that said its not the journey, nor the destination, it's the comrades you share it with that mater the most. ♥️ A must watch.

I get Georgie has issues from her being in the foster system, but her disregard for rules and understanding a no is so annoying, no learning curve at all. And she is forgiven each time and accommodated. Ugh. Annoys me no end. Best way to make Georgie do something, tell her not to do it. Best way to check on her requests, get into details and double check all she says. The show is fab otherwise with sensitivity towards animals, showing human strengths and failings, but do people only have two modes - nice and lost it? Nuances and shades of grey in characters would have been nice.

Half ratings not here, else I'd rate it a 4.5. This is smashing entertainment with the right message thrown in upologetically, where diversity is well represented (though it could be better - no Queer representation), but the pace and the sheer SRK star charisma, with the peppered teary moments, all make for one hell of a watch. It's better than Pathan, and definitely makes one look forward to Dunki. Very quietly, the line, aptly placed, goes - bete ko haath lagane se pehle, ek baar baap ko pooch lete. Honestly if I was in a theater I would have applauded many times. Never heavy, it has fun moments, packs a lot in, and thank heavens, Adani still does not make Indian weapons.
