After the Empuran fiasco ,Thudarum is indeed is a great redeemer for Mohan Lal. But when viewed from a stand alone perspective it is an average movie. What disappoints 1. Too much violence for a Mohan Lal Movie. 2. Ear shattering music ,especially in the second half 3.the so called chemistry with Sobhana is missing,particularly on the part of Mohan Lal who seems to shy away at critical moments. 4.for the first time in his career, the villain steals the show. 5.Mohan Lal's wooden expression in certain scenes.(maybe poor direction ) What's good 1.ariel photography 2.Mohan Lals mere presence on screen 3.recreated Mamooty song "shantamee ratheill" 4. Prakash Varmas performance.(the only person on and behind the screen who does not appear to be in awe of the superstar) This is, what can be termed 'selling Mohan Lal ' Watch if you are a 'bhakt'.
