This was a pretty good book. I'm not sure of what people are complaining about as far as Covid/politics go. It's just part of the story. I'm assuming those that complain were the same type of people I came across in customer service. Anyway, back to my thoughts on the book. Really the only thing that disappointed me was the lack of horror I'm used to in his books. Call me twisted but I think a bit more of the fear and what the victims went thru in a little more detail would have really made this a 'King' book. I read Fairy Tale (AMAZING!) just before this book so maybe my head wasn't in it completely as they were so very different and I really fell in love with all the characters in FT. Regardless, it's a good read.

I haven't read a book in years. This book was gifted to me by my mom so I had something to distract me while going thru chemo treatments. I actually didn't start it until after I had surgery. The adventure Stephen King took me on was absolutely what I needed to begin my recuperation. I immediately fell in love with Charlie, and of course Radar (Rades). The anticipation of finally going down the well to the 'other' world kept that book in my hands for hours at a time. I finished it in 5 days. Would've been shorter if my eyes would have allowed me to keep going. This is in my top 3 of his books, if not #1. From the moment you go down that well you're hooked. The characters are amazing, even the bad guys take you in. I'm not afraid to admit I shed a tear when I got to the end. I wanted it to go on, but it was a perfect ending. I would love to see it made into a movie. Perfect for fantasy lovers of all kinds. Moving on to Holly now and hope i enjoy it just as much. Thank you Mr. King for another awesome story to take me away from my own world for a few hours at a time.
