Here’s the plain and simple: it’s a horror movie. You put it on and watch it with the lights off and you get scared. It’s scary as anything, and it contains a lot of horror stuff.
A lot of the reviews I have seen seem to completely miss this because they don’t like that it doesn’t have a corny, overexposed plot like 90% of the films in this genre. Zoom out a little folks. It’s intended to scare, and it delivers and then some. Take out your hate for abstract art somewhere else.
