I've read all 30 books, including the Grace Valley Prequel and Thunder Point sequel and they are marvelous.
This piece of excrement is nothing but a giant pot-boiler written out of "tried and true" (ie tired and trite) soap opera index cards. Nothing about it relates much to Robyn Carr's great books and it's filled with flat-out stupid stuff. A Renaissance fair? In Virgin River? Jack in a costume? Who proposed this dreck? And Jack is such a whiney wimp, too! Where are the Booths, the Haggertys, and, most of all, the Reardons? Where's the Pastor and his former stripper love and wife? Where is Cameron's love, Abby? And why is this stupid high school breakup between Ricky and Liz so much better than her being pregnant and delivering a still-born child--at age 15? Where's the roofie story?
All these great stories are omitted so they can write a BAD soap opera that they think, by polling the public, they can make Great TV?
Why do screen writers ALWAYS think they know better than the author?
