More needless tragedy that aligns this game with the likes of other recently disappointing franchise installments (GoT's finale, SW's TLJ/RoS, and I'd even say MCU's EG). There is utter disservice to protagonists to the point where they get sidelined, and the revenge aspect falls flat in a very anticlimactic finish. The game felt tiresome, as if I had to drag myself through the gameplay rather than revel in it as I did in the first LoU. What a wasted opportunity... the best and only component I felt was true to form was the Birthday sequence. Maybe the rest of the game should've followed through with that tone of heartfelt familiarity.
