Awful. First off, massive departures from the book on almost every point. Even Danny's battle with alcoholism is basically a side note taken care of by a few choice scenes. Second, I cannot get over the end of the movie... it's basically the end of The Shining, the book! If you liked the book, don't bother. This was an insult to the book.
