This show accurately portrays characters in a way that makes them realistic. Journalists seek out the truth at any cause, a (racist cop) tries to defend his actions and cover up the monster that lives inside him. His mother stands by his side as a mother would. The freedom fighters believe in their cause and would stop at nothing to seek justice. The victims of police brutality are enraged and a group of protesters face the realization and consequences of their actions. All of these elements are explored in this series and is well written. Some may not like the subject matter, but after apartheid there still lives a South Africa that is still torn. The citizens of that nation (while some are very well off) majority still live as though they are oppressed. I loved this series.
