Basic premise was nothing .Survivor colonies post apocalypse.This time monsters rather than aliens or the undead.Boyfriend goes to find girlfriend 85 miles away after 7 years.The main lead is so incompetent that he would have been eaten within 5 mins on the surface.But no he is rescued in a timely manner .None of the story made sense in any practical sense so the element of suspended disbelief was just pushed to far.I was going to give this two stars but there was something about the film that I liked.Obviously set up for a sequel.Hopefully they don't go so much for schmaltz and gushing strings the next time .
