The screenplay and emotions in the movie is what Sekhar Kammula is a trademark for. The first half does deliver and almost meets the expectations, while second half is disappointing, and ending is quite abrupt. It’s almost like the director suddenly decided, “this movie doesn’t make sense anymore, let me just release what we shot and let’s not waste another penny on it”. The second half doesn’t make sense and made me wonder where is this movie going and why am I still watching this. I wish there was more story to it, may be that could have made this better. Performance: all the actors seemed to have delivered their part really well. Chai Upped his dance game and sai pallavi looked effortless in her moves. Gosh!! I wish this movie had more story to it, with such great crew, this would been another classic like other Sekhar Kammula’s movies. Sadly, this would remain to be everyone’s least favorite of his movies. Verdict: Wouldn’t recommend

Jathirathnalu is a fun filled, makes no sense entertainer. Naveen was hilarious as expected. Priyadarshi and Rahul did great in their roles. There were some hilarious moments with the trio in the first 30 mins. Faria did really well in her role and did her part in keeping up the laughs. You would definitely have fun, if you can separate logic and fun. The story could have been a little stronger. There are a lot of scenes, where there’s absolutely no logic, but the one liners and Polishetty’s screen presence keeps you amused. Overall, a fun filled comedy worth a watch.
