Like “our town and the Notebook with the additional substance and even more genuineness! It is also like the “Notebook”. But, as a depiction of love it even surpasses that. Garner does a great job in that!!! Tom Hanks surpasses James Garner in this movie, and with the help of modern techniques, Tom Hanks so surpasses the great acting of Tom Hanks’s younger self. For that matter, he surpasses the great acting of Jimmy Stewartin A “inWonderful Life” The movie warmed me. It made me cry. There is a plot and there are subplots. The movie was compelling. I cared about the characters. The main heroes of the movie are played by Robin Wright and Tom hanks. The special effects were extremely good. I won’t dwell as some have that it was not perfect. At times Robin Wright looked 10 years older than who she was playing. It was a leap of faith going to this movie!!! I am so glad I did. It was an intelligent heartwarming movie about these people’s lives that was a compliment to the intelligence, sensitivity, and appreciation of one older gentleman- myself. I do not know how many times I will see it! It was always interesting. It made me laugh and it made me cry. I was extremely entertained. It may be the most intelligent movie I have watched in a very long time. It is so much antithesis of a Netflix movie, a transformer movie. The movie is not empty as some people said. It is a full movie like “it’s a wonderful Life”with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed! But, it is more real. A splendid masterwork! A closer comparison I could make for this movie would be the Play, our Town, with the saccharine left out!!!this is a great movie! Are Americans great enough to see this!!! At Times the movie was every bit as good as EugeneO’neill’s death of a salesman!! It was that good. Life has many plots and subplots!!it was not over simplified as I have so often been bothered by. The movie was damn good!!! I wonder how long I will remember this as a great movie.
