The Cube World released on Sep 30, 2019 is a very large disappointment. The developers received massive praise and financial backing when the Alpha was available for purchase in 2103. After the devs released a few small patches, they went quiet for 6 years. In that time, there would be small updates to tease the public. In 2017, this all stopped. In 2019, Wol_lay announced that Cube World was coming to Steam. Alpha backers like myself were able to get into the week long closed Beta. We gave our feedback via Twitter, Reddit, and Steam with no dialog between fans and dev. The Cube World out now has a severe lack of content that's hidden behind zone level gating for your items. Somehow the devs actually regressed the game after 6 years of full time development. The devs had a gold mine on their hands and somehow made it the worst game of the last decade.
