Well - if you are happy to waste 2 hours of your life and the price of comfortable seat in the movie house go ahead .. But if this isn’t the biggest load of toss and quite frankly a joke on those that paid to go see because of who was the lead We have all been had ! Please don’t think there might be a some kinda of intelligent hidden message here , i hoped but the best I could come up with: •careful for what you wish for .. •Don’t mess with drugs •Be grateful for what you’ve got Don’t just don’t bother is my advice.

I didn’t care about the characters little effort made to want you to feel anything It’s just ok

Well , as I continue on my very own Bill Nighy season, lockdown London hasn’t lost its grip But we have film, so we have hope , so I thought Book Shop might be cute. It’s a beautiful story of belief and determination Amazing cast delivers in every part of the story . When we are lead to lose a little belief, the ending is a thoughtful reward to a point, B Nighy plays the beaten man to a ‘t’ But I am a happy bloke that prefers a happy ending. More “ grown up” than cute I found. A strong film that keeps a grip. with boredom

Well it’s lockdown London ( again ) it’s February ( still ) and it’s Sunday evening. Perfect conditions Perhaps to invest in an evening that Is really heading south rapidly. I decide I can’t just rely on a plot that may or may not , so I choose to not risk that. Choosing a Bill Nighy film puts me in a mood of “Happy in lockdown” a couple of hours to forget About climbing walls! Bill Nighy is authentic and immensely watchable he chooses his films so well. I wasn’t around a hundred years ago but somehow I don’t need to question the damp old London atmos. It’s beautifully filmed and the strand of innocence that runs thru the story alongside the plot is a cut above. Visually stunning in many ways , thankfully the gorey bits feel ok not sickening, my stomach appreciated this . A piece of Victorian art I would say. Enjoy .
