Jeremy Oddy

This is a true story filmed 60 years ago .I don't believe it could be bettered today. The cast is so convincing, .brilliant .One is so drawn into the drama and can almost smell the sweat on the the characters as they commit their lives to their audacious, courageous endeavours to save the art reaching Germany.. The German colonel, the station official who with helpers planned the ruse ,and the train driver were outstanding. I guess most of these actors have passed on but what a legacy the film director and all who contributed to this production have left us on how ordinary folk can and do come forward in times of utter hell.
