I think the people overly criticising the series in terms of the historical facts which are not precise and leave room for interpretation; for instance, someone said that he wasn't a Greek he was a Macedonian - what is being a Greek and being a Macedonian in times of Alexander when there was no common identity of "Greekness", moreover, it is not precisely known that the Macedonian Language was a separate Hellenic language or a Dialect of a Classical Greek language (whatever it was then). As for battle scenes, it must be noted that the Name of the series is "Alexander: Making of a God" not "Alexander: the Greatest Strategos", so that movie is focused on the personality of the King and his path to becoming a god.
