NO-ONE WOULD HAVE BELIEVED...THAT THIS WAS MADE! Bad geography. Wrong time setting. Pointless characters. No proper heat ray. No spider-like machines that captured humans for later consumption. No creeping of the red weed. No showing of the way and affects of the Martians dying. No action at all really. Just a soppy, lame, love story. This adaptation really pissed me off. I lived In Maybury, Woking when Jeff Wayne's version came out and it truly scared me. I was sooo looking forward to this. But again the BBC has used our licence fee on rubbish. Why change a brilliant sci-fi narrative into disjointed drivel. I had no time for the "red scenes". These were just confusing. For sci-fi horror this was a proper let down. GUTTED!. Please someone try again...
