Committing to more 'Big Short' forth wall breaks could have turned this into a great film. Imagine actresses of this calibre turning directly to the audience and condemning this reprehensible behaviour directly. Making direct contact with the audience on how vile with behaviour was. Instead they reached for this trick early as exposition and then appeared to forget about it later. When the producers needed to let the film speak clearly on condemnation... the film falls oddly quiet. One candid 'me too' spoken direct to the audience would have mailed this moment in history.
