The book is soooooooooo much better. I read the book first then watch the series to see how the book would translate onto screen.Boy, was I disappointed. Maeve is such a sweet character in the book, but kinda annoying in the series? She's not friends with Janae and Simon, let alone having a thing for Simon and then she's into Janae. Also Addy has an awesome sister named Ashton in the book, but they cut her out entirely. Kris is a wholesome character in the book whose opinion changed the Murder Club's trajectory in their investigation. The book is about Simon's death, but the focus of the series somehow shifted to Jake.
