Horrible. 1. The cast they chose really didn’t exemplify how the characters were described in the book. 2. There was a lack of chemistry between the characters in the film, which made the scenes cringey. 3. I can’t go on enough about how little attention was put to the overall message of this book. I feel like the film needed to be more dark to truly display the message, and feelings of someone who is genuinely going through domestic abuse. This definitely was not it.
