One of the best WW2 content, hands down. Tremendous acting, including from artists that I tend to think are a little lame in other contexts (Peña, Bernthal, Lebeouf). I haven’t had combat experience but I felt this to represent the realities of gruesome combat. This is up there with Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers as far as storylines, acting, action, and emotion.

Not really clear on the intended audience. Doesn’t seem like the ads lined up with the ideological spin, and it was too pronounced and forced. How in the hell is this movie being rated as highly as some truly great films? (Rhetorical question)
