The premise of the movie is so contrived. I could not accept the notion that someone was responsible for the death of the victim and had no idea that he would wind up serving on the jury of the accused boyfriend and was totally unaware of his connection to the case. This sort of premise just doesn’t happen in real life. Further the juror is an alcoholic who happens to go to the bar where the couple are and orders a drink, etc. And doesn’t the lawyer have an obligation to inform the judge that a confidential confession was made to him exonerating the boyfriend. I couldn’t watch the whole movie - The incident would have been covered on TV news, and in the paper. The date of the death and the Bar would have been in the news. And this guy knows nothing about it.
