This book followed themes of family dysfunction, mental health, substance abuse, and how it can lead you down a dark path. Eugenia Grimm is the protagonist and it follows her recovery at a youth camp after she gets arrested. I think even if you haven't been through the same things as her, you can relate to portions of the story. For me personally, I thought it was inspirational to move forward no matter the circumstances; and that it takes loosing everything to find your way.
