WOW! As an adoptee, this book is like gold to me. The Lord used this book to send me on a journey to an incredible transformational healing! I do believe a person must be open to really receiving the powerful information in this book. If you are not sincere about working on yourself and willing to take a hard deep look within, you may find yourself rejecting parts of this book out of pure denial and you will not find the healing potential this book has to offer. I have formed new pathways in my thinking, I am no longer reacting to the wounded child within. The paper tigers are no longer chasing me. I have come home to true self (the second book to read after this one by same author "Coming Home to Self: The Adoptee Grows Up". What lies on the other side of healing was beyond anything could have imagined. Since I lived in that trauma my whole like, I didn't know any different. YOU ARE WORTH IT!! I will be transparent, it was a 5 year process, I'm sure it's different for everyone. It was HARD and TIRING but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
